Clothes To Help You Build Muscle
Patrick Whaley was so skinny as a child that he would put extra books in his book bag to build up more muscle. Later on he realized that instead of carrying weight in a bag, he could carry it in his clothes. He figured this would help bulk him up, so he then invented Omega Wear. This is a clothing line that incorporates hydro-gel weights, which are purposefully placed over major muscle groups. The clothing is designed to help raise the number of calories you burn throughout the day and improve muscle endurance. Whaley’s invention won him the $20,000 first prize award at an invention contest held by the Georgia Institute of Technology where he was an engineering student. He received a free U.S. patent as well. He said, “As soon as I was able to get into my shirt and use my own shirt for my workouts, that was one of the proudest days of my life.”
