Airport Security Breach In Rhode Island

An airport that services Providence, Rhode Island has resumed normal operations after a security breach occurred Friday morning, according to a Transportation Security Administration spokesman. Greg Soule said a passenger passed through a security checkpoint at about 6 a.m. without completing the screening process at the Theodore Francis Green Memorial State Airport in Rhode Island. The Transportation Security Administration and law enforcement officers identified the passenger. Soule said he was then taken into custody by local law enforcement. Soule also added that precautionary measures were taken. Passengers who had already gone through security were taken back outside the airport to a controlled area. They were then re-scanned.
